Creating and sustaining schools that put all students on a path to success is the work of many individuals and many organizations all pulling together towards the same goal -- graduating all students ready for college, careers and life.

North Carolina New Schools works in tandem with business, education and government at every level -- local schools and districts, the State Board of Education and the NC Department of Public Instruction, the University of North Carolina and the Independent Colleges and Universities, the NC Community College System, the NC General Assembly, and business and industry -- to help mobilize support and coordinate the efforts that are helping improve outcomes for students. NC New Schools also reaches across the country and the globe to bring together the best minds as we work together to reinvent education to prepare students for a changing world.

Sharing research and success stories from partner schools and districts allows others to see what true education innovation can accomplish. Building and maintaining alliances with policymakers and community leaders turns a consensus for change into action for education. It's the power of those partnerships that makes real innovation possible and sustainable.

-    Develop local and state-level ownership and advocacy for new approaches to public education and for policies that accelerate change.
-    Sustain  focus on quality, collaboration and results by diversifying revenue and creating a pool of resources to test new models.
